# FoodX Terms of Use — internal working draft

These terms govern access to FoodX websites, software, documentation, APIs, previews, and related services worldwide (the “Services”), subject to mandatory local law. “FoodX” is the public-facing brand; the private launch version will identify the contracting operator.

## 1. Early-stage service

FoodX is under active development. Features may change, be unavailable, or be withdrawn. Beta and preview features are provided for evaluation and may contain errors.

## 2. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services, bypass access controls, reverse engineer non-open components, introduce malicious code, infringe rights, scrape at scale, or use the Services to make high-impact decisions without appropriate human review.

## 3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant FoodX a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, display, process, and adapt it only to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services. We do not acquire ownership of your content.

## 4. FoodBlock and open materials

Open specifications and code are governed by their stated licence. Other software, branding, interfaces, and documentation remain protected and may not be copied except as permitted by law or licence.

## 5. Third-party services

Third-party services are governed by their own terms. FoodX is not responsible for third-party availability or content.

## 6. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. FoodX does not provide legal, medical, nutritional, food-safety, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for decisions made using the Services.

## 7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FoodX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

## 8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal compliance, or protection of users. You may stop using the Services at any time.

## 9. Changes

We may update these terms as the Services evolve. Material changes will be communicated where required.

## 10. Paid features

Some beta use may be free. FoodX may introduce paid plans or usage-based charges later. We will present applicable prices, billing cadence, taxes, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before charging you.

**Launch version must add:** contracting entity, jurisdiction, mandatory consumer rights, dispute route, and legal/privacy contact.
