# FoodX US Privacy Policy — internal working draft

This US-focused version should be used only after confirming which state privacy laws apply. FoodX may serve people in every US jurisdiction, but the notice must describe the specific state coverage that applies at launch. It should describe categories of personal information collected, business and commercial purposes, sale/share or targeted-advertising practices, retention, sensitive data, sources, and disclosures.

Depending on the state, people may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or targeted advertising, limit sensitive-data use, and appeal a decision. The final version must provide a verifiable-request process, authorised-agent rules, and any required appeal information.
